Won't you come and join us?

The Explorer's League is a privately owned group of specially selected globetrotters, each with their own niche.
Be it linguists who specialize in ancient tongues, paleontologists researching the evolution of beast tribe and their origins, archivists looking to catalog all known facts about Eorzea, conservationists looking to preserve nature, historians of Aldenard to Othard, thrill-seekers in search of relics, fearless expedition leaders, the list goes on!
All are equal for their thirst for knowledge.
“Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence,” and “High impact, high resolution” are the mantras for the Explorer's League.

There Will be glory!

With leads and information being sent through the grapevine frequently, there is never a dull moment for an archivist at league. Directors of the museum lead expeditions frequently. The Museum Curator will assign the campaign to one of the museum directors, and fund the outing. The Director of Expeditions will then gather the crew and plot the trek before traveling to the area of interest. It takes guts to find the gold! delving into abandoned Qiqirin temples with sunken crypts holding treasure far below the murky surface to climbing steep mountains in search for highland raen reliquaries, a brave heart and determination will be your greatest ally! (And rope!)

There will be danger!

Beneath the shifting sands the dead walk in sleepless night. The ancient city of Amadapor crawls with creatures festering in mold and debris. Mhachi blood still runs in the veins of their vengeful descendants. There might be magic monsters, helions in the hamlets and ancient mysticism! Save relics before they are destroyed by bands of sky pirates to preserve the culture of a nation from being erased forever more! Now is the time to be brave and dare to go where no other caravan will! High stakes follow annihilation! Obliteration of civilization!Put your skills to the test even in the most dire of situations – relying on your fellow explorers and your quick whit will be the essence of victory! Battle ruthless monsters and delve into caverns lost to time in search of scrolls and remnants of the past.Return them to the surface, push the doctrine for knowledge farther than ever conceived!

There will be extremely big spiders and snakes around every pillar!

Whether it be staff wielding mages that are searching for the last card to complete their collection of a children's card game, voidsent with the single intention to eat your fingers, a brutal arena of musical brawlers, or hermit crabs that have inhabited rowboats; the caravan is surely to encounter mystical creatures of whacky origins!Keep your pray bottle of holy water in hand and pack a few extra potency bandages... maybe that screw driver will come in handy?Expeditions never are quite what meets the eye, and even a seasoned adventurer will be kept on their toes wondering how the story ends! Serious stories infused with tidbits of humor keep the narrative running, as aren't all good stories ones you can look back and laugh upon? The narrative follows the adventurers from their perspective of the story through the character's eyes – which can alter scenes to make them more than they appear to be in reality. Create memories that last and collect folklore – while making it too!

Out of character information

RELIC is a light RP FC based around the excitement of adventure through comedy-based storylines! With serious plots and real dangers for the characters, aloof monsters and goofy villains that twiddle their mustache bring a new perspective to Eorzea! These stories and RP arcs are meant to be character-focused for everyone to get a moment to shine with plot points that can be taken in different directions for the players. Story progression should add character progression through building new abilities and earning new weapons or tools for the trade for players to build their character how they see fit.Community Events are held regularly when the museum opens to the public; hosting Coffee With the Curator, Night at the Museum, Antique Roadshow, and as a fundraiser, Paco's Booty Shorts Car Wash!
Closed events include combat RP with a simple D20 system, Grindstone style PvP RP, rolling minigames, and more await! Between every large narrated event, will be opportunities that week or the following for players to RP in a small non-combat social event for cooling down and building relationships with other members of the FC.
Made of a small group of close-knit friends, closed events are held once every other week either as a casual night in the museum or to further the storyline. Currently, the FC is not recruiting, but visitors and freelancers are welcome to join for Community RP events.

Meet the Curator

Owner of The Hall of Explorers is the intriguing and passionate Chachapaco Yuyupaco, a Dunesfolk Lalafell from the back end of the Peaks. With a penchant for collecting bones to add to his skeleton hoard, Yuyupaco is Ul'Dah's leading professor of paleontology and Chairman of the Board for archeology on evolution predating Eorzea's Third Astral Era.His place of permeance in the Ul'dahn Historian's Guild as Chairman has over decades gained Yuyupaco various wealthy backers. House Sorial is one of these backers who funds his trials and tribulations from afar.
With a sharp mind and tongue as silver as Vyldebrand's brooks, using leverage the professor has opened his personal stockpile of priceless antiques to the public in hope to educate the public on Beast Tribe evolution and the rest of Eorzeans origins.
But who would want to sit in a stuffy old heap of books and bones when this star still has secrets to tell? For such a vaulted scholar and place of power, one would think Yuyupaco to be a wise elder Lalafell, but that would not be true.
His close colleagues know him as Paco, and as one of the most hair-brained scheming knit-whits in the business.

Enter the hall of explorers

Opening it's doors to the people of the Holy See in Empyerum's ward 4 plot 8, is the grand collection of The Curator. An esteemed trove of priceless information which boasts historical advancements in the professional world. A donated wing from a Dravanian after the Dragonsong War has been preserved and put on display in the main hall with podiums beside sets of Ishgardian armor progression through the ages.
Boasting precious items of Coerthan history in the main hall shows the history and progression of civilization before the Calamity and the healing that came after the Dragonsong War.
Paintings and diagrams cover the walls of the upstairs museum from different astral eras. Patterned stone tile floors lead around red ropes protecting reconstructed skeletons of prehistoric fossils that loop around the lit walkways. Gazing on high to the painted ceilings, hang rotorscopes alongside mobiles of the planet system made of shimmering little marbles.
There is a section for everybody in the museum for things to see and curios to peruse; the door is open all weekdays from sun up to sundown.
Currently, the Museum's exhibition storage rooms are closed to the staff due to a juromonger infestation in the basement. To avoid lawsuits, all junior explorers have been relocated to the Eastern Thanalan base near High Bridge.
